Back to Keeptrail
Privacy, in plain words.
Short version: I don't track you, and the app can't.
Updated October 7, 2026.
This website
- No tracking, no analytics, no ads and no cookies.
- Your light or dark choice is remembered in your browser only.
- Fonts, pictures and the video come from this website, not from anyone else.
- The host that serves the pages keeps standard server logs (like any website) for security. I don't use them to follow anyone.
The two forms
They keep only what you type:
- Be a tester: your first name, your Gmail address, and your phone model and Android version.
- Notify me: your email address.
Your answers are saved in this website's own database (Cloudflare D1, which hosts the site). Only I can open it. I may also copy them into a private spreadsheet in my own Google account to send the emails. I use them only to run the beta test and to send the one launch email. They are never sold or shared.
Want your answers deleted? Email deguzmanadriankim@gmail.com and I'll delete them. After launch, I delete the tester list if you ask.
The "people waiting" counter
- The numbers on the site are totals only: how many people signed up to test, how many asked for the launch email, and how many tapped "I'm curious".
- "I'm curious" adds one to a total. Nothing about you is saved. Your browser remembers that you tapped it (in its own storage, not a cookie), so you're counted once.
- Page visits are never counted.
- To stop floods of fake sign-ups, the server keeps a scrambled, one-way code of your connection for at most an hour. It can't be turned back into your address and is then deleted.
The Keeptrail app
- There's no account and no sign-in.
- Keeptrail can't connect to the internet. The app has no internet permission at all.
- Everything stays on your phone, locked: your items, receipts, photos, notes and what you tell Kip.
- Kip, photo reading and voice all work on the phone.
- Backup copies go only where you choose to save them.
